Description The statue represents the dynamic spirit of Singhamukha Yogini, a deity in Tibetan Buddhism, symbolizing wisdom and transformation. The intricate details showcase the deep artistic legacy of Patan, known for its metal craftsmanship and spiritual artistry. The goddess, identified as Simhamukha commands attention as she performs a dynamic dance on her left foot on corose set upon a circular lotus pedestal. This powerful scene unfolds within a Yantra, flanked by intense flaming borders, all resting on a singular, striking circular lotus pedestal. As the embodiment of Jnana-Dakini, she is fiercely adorned in a tiger skin loincloth and a scarf made from a bold mix of human and elephant hides. Her crown of skulls, embellished with serpents and bone ornaments, reinforces her potent presence, while she wears a stunning garland of multiple heads (mundalama). With unwavering confidence, she raises her right hand, wielding a ritual chopper with a vajra handle (vajrakartrika), and in her left hand, she grips a skull-cup (kapala). Although the ceremonial staff, known as khatvanga, is now absent from her hold, it was once confidently cradled in the crook of her elbow. She is further accentuated by a ribbon-like scarf, its warm brownish copper hue creating a striking contrast against the yellowish brass of the statue. Dimension: Height: 8.5” with frame Height: 7.25” without frame Width: 6.25” Depth: 2.25” Weight: 0.9 kg Made of Copper, 24 K gold plated and gold face painting.
