Reverse Light Switch – T3 / Early | T3 Syncro / Diff Lock Warning Light Switch

Description Reverse light swicthes for VW T3. There are 3 types of reverse light switch fitted to the T3. 1. Early gearbox as fitted to all air cooled models and some very early Diesel engines has a switch with an M18 thread and 2 spade connectors. 2. Later gearbox with M12 thread and 2 spade terminals. 3. Later gearbox with M12 thread and moulded plastic connector. The later 2 are interchangeable, the only difference is the plug. The T4 reverse light switch will also fit and again has a different connector, a junior timer connector, they can be retro fitted to a T3. If you have difficulty with the switch then the mounting depth is critical, try different combinations of washers to adjust the mounting depth to obtain correct operation. This switch can also be used in the T3 syncro front diff and gearbox to operate the diff lock warning lights on the dashboard.
