Description Jambhala is represented in Tibetan religious art known as thangkas, which illustrate him in five primary forms, each associated with distinct colors, lineages, and types of wealth. The most prominent form is the Yellow Jambhala (Dzambhala Serpo), recognized as the leader of the five Jambhalas. This representation symbolizes wealth, benevolence, and financial stability. Visually, the Yellow Jambhala is depicted with a golden-yellow complexion, seated on a throne made of lotus and conch. In his left hand, he holds a mongoose that releases diamonds, while his right hand grasps either a citron fruit or a jewel. The accompanying mantra for this form is “Om Dzambhala Jalendraye Svaha.” The thangka paintings are vibrant and intricately detailed, often adorned with gold work to highlight the opulence and kindness of Jambhala.
