Description This statue traditionally takes the form of a strikingly hand-carved figure made from copper, lavishly gilded with real 24-karat gold. The statue portrays Mahachakra Vajrapani as a powerful and wrathful figure, characterized by three fierce heads and six outstretched arms, holding a vajra (a symbol of spiritual power) in his raised right hand alongside a coiling snake, which signifies his control over negative forces. To initiate the ceremony, practitioners engage in reciting heartfelt prayers that invite Vajrapani’s formidable presence into the ritual space. Notably, they visualize Vajrapani in his fierce aspect, surrounded by blazing flames of wisdom that symbolize the burning away of ignorance and obstacles. People repeatedly chant the profound mantra “OM VAJRAPANI HUM” as an invocation for his blessings and an appeal for strength and protection. One can feel the flow of Vajrapani’s energy entering their body and mind, enriching them with wisdom and a sense of inner strength. As the ultimate tantric embodiment, Mahachakra is considered fully enlightened and manifests as a meditational deity.
